Swan was established by Helsinki-born Pekka Koskenkylä in the late 1960s. His method was straightforward: to build the best boats in the world with the best designers available. And it worked. Nautor Swans' first-class performance yachts can cost up to 15 million, and while they are produced in Finland, the company is owned by Leonardo Ferragamo, son of Italian luxury goods firm founder Salvatore Ferragamo. Every two years, the Rolex Swan Cup takes place in the beautiful waters off the Sardinian coast, drawing more than 100 Swans from around the world to gather in Porto Cervo for a week of highly competitive racing and glamorous parties.
